Privacy policy
Nothing you play leaves your phone.
ELASTIFRET listens through the microphone, works out what it hears on the device itself, and keeps the result there. There is no account, no server, and nothing to share.

What the app records
When you start a recording, the app captures audio through your device microphone. It records only while a recording is running, and only after you have granted microphone permission.
Nothing is captured in the background, and nothing is captured when the app is closed.
What happens to a recording
The audio is analysed on your device. What comes out of that is a set of numbers describing the notes and timings that were played.
The audio itself is discarded once the analysis is done. The numbers are kept so the app can compare one session to the next.
What is stored, and where
Everything the app keeps is stored in files on your device. That includes:
- Numerical analysis derived from your recordings
- Your practice history and progress within the app
- Your settings
None of it is sent anywhere. The app has no server behind it and does not transmit your practice data over the network.
What is not collected
The app does not collect, and has no way to collect:
- Your name, email address, or any contact details
- Any account or sign-in, because there is no account
- Your location
- Your contacts, photos, calendar, or health data
- Device identifiers or advertising identifiers
- Usage analytics or behavioural tracking
There is no advertising in the app, and no third-party software in it that collects anything.
What is never shared
Your recordings and your practice data are not shared, sold, rented, or disclosed to anyone. This is not a policy choice that could be reversed quietly. The data is on your device and the app has no mechanism to send it.
If you download ELASTIFRET from the App Store, Apple collects information about that transaction under its own privacy policy. That is between you and Apple, and this app has no access to it.
Microphone permission
iOS will ask for microphone access the first time you record. The app needs it because listening to you play is the only thing it does.
If you decline, the app opens and you can look around, but recording will not work and nothing can be analysed. You can change your mind at any time in the iOS Settings app, under Privacy & Security, then Microphone.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app removes everything it stored. Because nothing was copied anywhere else, nothing is left behind.
Children
ELASTIFRET is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect information from children, and in practice it does not collect personal information from anyone, at any age.
Your rights
Privacy laws including the GDPR and the CCPA give you the right to see, correct, export, or delete personal information a company holds about you.
There is nothing held about you here. No personal information is collected or transmitted, so there is no file to request and no record to correct. Your data sits on your device, under your control, and deleting the app removes it.
Changes to this policy
If the app changes in a way that affects any of this, the change will be posted on this page and the effective date at the top will be updated. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
